In https://github.com/openstack/python-cinderclient/blob/master/cinderclient/shell.py#L705 and later in main() we do some work to set 'endpoint' variable, but it is never used.
I'm still trying to figure out where/how is should be used, but something is definitely wrong here.

It is used for probing, then discarded. not a bug.
