performing a pythia simulation inside MG5/ME

dear all,

I am currently using madgraph 5 to generate lhe files at parton-level; and I installed pythia-pgs package (install pythia-pgs inside a mg terminal) and I did make inside pythia-pgs. The problem is that I have only two folders : libraries and src; and I don't find any Cards folder with pythia_card.dat as specified in the README.
I have to use pythia to generate hadron-level events in hep file extension.
I know that we can use it inside madgraph after parton-level simulation but I have to perform some changes in my lhe file before running pythia and therefore I can't use directly Pythia after parton-level simulation.

Could you, please, explain me how to perform a simulation at hadron level, get hep files from a lhe file with pythia-pgs?

PS: I use pythia-pgs 2.3.0.

Hi,

Just modify your events by hand.
Then put them back to their original location. (or under a new subdirectory inside Events).

then you can run the pythia-pgs package via the command:
./bin/madevent
then type
pythia RUNNAME
(where RUNNAME is the name of the directory in which your LHE events file is).
