Bug Description

This happens with revision 9 of trunk and with revision 6 of help.

The license at the beginning of the help file is not translated.

I also think that the license and the copyrights should be moved at the end of the file, the primary goal of this file is actually to help, to give the shortcuts.

Oh, I just realized that Bruno seems to have skipped it during translation. Is this normal ?

well... The terms of the GPL are basically in English. I don't know if there's an official translation of the header that has to be included in the source code, as stated in the english version of the GPL.

Since the program is published under the GPL v3 license, methinks we can't actually publish the source code without this verbatim header

We can publish the source code with the COPYING and LICENSE files, plus the headers in every source document and be covered by the GPLv3+. But so long as we're translating the help text, we could also include an unofficial translation of the GPLv3+ notice in the help file without negatively impacting the code. In this way we also ensure that the end user is informed of his rights to use and redistribute the software.

I'd already done this for the German translation before seeing this bug.

I agree with Nathan, having a paragraph at the beginning of the help file not translated seems a bit strange to me. Moreover how can people respect a lciense if they can't read it ;)

has been fixed in rev 20 already.

On a side node: there's no official and legally binding version of GPL around. That's on purpose, because legal wording could be altered during translation. We could translate it on our own, but that'd be stupid as we'd be creating new licences.
