Bug Description

I have been unable to get pyqtgraph.examples.RemoteSpeedTest.py working, likewise with pyqtgraph.examples.RemoteGraphicsView.

I have attempted to address the failure of int to be recast as sip.voidptr by applying the patch mentioned in this thread:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/pyqtgraph/mQdx1mPQ1i4/6oqeOAs9nTYJ
but I still cannot get a function remote graphics view.

Under winPython 2.7 on Windows 7, I get issues with opening remote sockets.
On Ubuntu 13.04 running Python 2.7 with libQt4.10, I get an error relating to failed int -> voidptr casting.
Employing the patch metioned above, I don't get exceptions, but no image displays, either in the RemoteSpeedTest example or in the stand along RemoteGraphicsView example.

Confirmed problems with linux + pyqt 4.10 (pyqt 4.9 works)

For Windows, I need a little more information:
- What version of pyqtgraph are you using?
- What are "issues with opening remote sockets" ? Specific error messages?

Changed in pyqtgraph:
status: New → Confirmed

Spent days trying to get this working on Windows to no avail.
Opened it up today to give specific error message, and it just works.
I guess it's just my machine trying to make me look bad. :)

Hrmf.
I have had a similar experience in the past with multiprocessing+sockets.
Do let me know if you come across it again!
