Bug Description
Allow building on platforms where pkg-config is missing, by assuming that no -I or -L flags are needed there...

This fix isn't very portable wrt. other compilers, not that current state is either though.. ;p
I've fixed this (and existing issues) in a more portable manner in r494. :)
