Bug Description

Hey,

We want to use PyGPGME in the email client "alot", but we need GPGME’s hash_algo_name function. This function seems to be missing, so as a workaround, we just re-implemented it in python. It would be great if you could wrap the function in PyGPGME in the next version.

Thanks!
Best regards,
Michael

PS: See https://github.com/pazz/alot/pull/455/files for how we use it.

Sounds like a useful addition. May as well expose pubkey_algo_name at the same time.

Changed in pygpgme:
importance: Undecided → Medium
milestone: none → 0.4
status: New → Confirmed

This patch seems to work, mainly I copied the lines for validity or similar and adjusted them accordingly. Would you please consider doing a release with this patch so I can easier ask to get this included in Fedora?

Sorry, I just noticed that my patch seems to address some other missing feature with a similar name.
