Comment 1 for bug 380595

To add to the latest changes to the bug: I've looked at the project on code.google.com/p/pygettextpo — it was more complete in some areas, and less complete in others. In general, it was at roughly the same state, except that it didn't even provide any tests. As such, since I want to use pygettextpo in projects unrelated to Launchpad (like xml2po and potentially intltool-ng), I believe code provided here is a better basis for the future work which I am just starting right now.
