Cannot install pybars via easy_install or pip due to missing PyMeta dependency

As of this morning it seems impossible to install pybars via easy_install or pip. Problem seems to be installing the PyMeta dependency which appears to have disappeared.

This is reasonably urgent as we use this in production and we're currently unable to deploy...

You shouldn't be depending on external resources to deploy to production.

Alan has put PyMeta back, you should be all sorted. Thanks for reporting this - I'm marking it invalid as there is nothing faulty in the code :)

Tom - we were unable to deploy as it stopped our build being able to run.

Incidentally, I contacted Allen Short who created PyMeta and he was surprised it's being used at all. He has since created a replacement lib called "Parsely" which he suggests it would be worth migrating to.
