2016-12-24 03:34:20.612 23060 WARNING oslo_config.cfg [req-a12b9951-bb7a-4a32-86f9-ff2be094118c - - - - -] Option "force_dhcp_release" from group "DEFAULT" is deprecated for removal. Its value may be silently ignored in the future.

FWIW, I'm seeing this (Ocata release), but I'm not using puppet, and I don't have that option in my nova.conf, so it's probably not a puppet-nova issue.....

FWIW, the actual cause of this (at least for me), is that the RDO /usr/share/nova/nova-dist.conf contains some obsolete nova-network options, including force_dhcp_release. It should be reported as a RDO packaging bug.
