still impossible to get sound with internal micro on EEEPC 1005HA

Since I pass to Karmic on my EEEPC 1005HA everything is all right but still only one
boring problem. Impossible to use my internal micro on my pc with skype.
I've tried all stuff found on many forum.
I get some (pchhhhhchchhc...) but no intelligible sound.
I have the last kernel 2.6.31-18-generic. Is there any of you who's got a solution

Please it's so sad to be under WINDOWS dependence just to use skype !!!

Please try installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic and rebooting, and report back to let us know whether that fixed the problem for you.

Have you checked the capture volume levels in either the volume control in the notification area at top right of your screen, or via the alsamixer program in a terminal?

In addition, could you please run this command in a terminal: "apport-collect -p alsa-base 509363"

Yes I done it already, everything is at is maximum

It seems that i'm not the only one. Some get a "half solution" with blackports module but have to use external microphone.
But it isn't practical i'm often travelling with my pc & i can't really use external material.
