Bug Description

Please update to 2.8 in Precise 12.04. I do not like adding PPAs so please add!

@James It's a complicated backport, since it depends on almost all of GTK and other libraries, so it would take a huge effort to properly backport. Precise users will unfortunately have to rely on a PPA for the latest Gimp until 14.04 is released.
