"Insert -- to render part of sig gray" is unclear

Bug Description

The text "insert -- to render part of the signature gray" in the first welcome screen is unclear. Do I enter "--" before the line to make it gray? Or do i surround the text i want grayed with "--" on both sides?

how do we use this by the way? i tried every combination that came to my mind. no luck.

still can't use it. i am trying to make iljazi.net gray. i do this:

iljazi.net

but it's just that i don't see any difference.
