Don't capitalize "Type To Search..."

I think the words "Type To Search..." in the search box are unnecessary and visually distracting. The magnifying icon already indicates that it's a search box. I don't think there's any usability challenge here: a user who clicks in the box and starts typing will immediately realize what's going on.

This is dictated in elementary HIG. It's common practice to place the words "Search" or "Type to Search" or some other combination inside the text box to clearly mark it's purpose in addition to the magnifying glass.

OK, so if the words will be there then the word "To" should not be capitalized as per GNOME interface guidelines. I also recommend uncapitalizing "Search" and eliminating the ellipsis as follows:

"Type to search"

I stumbled upon this, and I actually second the reporter here. The string should indeed say "Type to search..." which is the case in Dexter as well. I think it's a bit strong to consider this spamming, it can always happen that bugs are formally resolved. :-)
