Bug Description

While it's very awesome that postler intelligently picks a sufficiently descriptive name for each of your email accounts if you have more than one, I would still like to be able to override that name.

I would suggest either in the account creation window, or, perhaps as a menu item "Edit mailbox name" when right-clicking on the mailbox icon for an account.

I frankly don't consider this crucial, so I'll regard it as a feature request.

Excellent, thanks!

A few things:

The Gtk.Entry for account name should be prefilled with the current account name, if there is one. (That is, when renaming as opposed to naming for the first time). If it is the first time, it should prefil with whatever it would default to.

Also, obviously, the names should save after postler exits ;)

The entry already does that,it's blank only when you use the default display name..
As for the saving, I thought it already saved the display name,so i didn't check if it actually does..=S
Will fix that!=)

Ok,fixed that..i thought the display name was already being saved to the keyfile,but apparently it didn't..
Try it out now! =)

I think the patch is not quite right - the name should not be saved if it was automatically filled in, right? Otherwise it would save "Inbox" when you create the first account and keep that forever for the first account.

right, if it is being automatically generated it should not be saved

Doesn't work at all for me. Suddenly all account have their full addresses instead of the short ones without me doing a thing.

Could you explain that a bit better?

This feature will soon appear in a different form, as a side effect of the backend refactoring. There won't be hardcoded account names at all, instead one can create folders with any name.
