Bug Description

Config and connexion test went well, but no entry in the messaging menu.

See the attached popper log: there is an imap error.

Using Ubuntu 10.4, a Gmail account with imap enabled, python libs (notify and indicate) are installed..

Actually I don't know the reason for the imap error. Can you reproduce the error? We did a lot of tests also with Gmail accounts and it works. Please try to reproduce it.

Hello,

I can reproduce the problem every time.

But here is a clue: I use Google multiple sign-in between a regular gmail account and a Google Apps one... maybe it interferes?:

Precision: I'm trying with only the regular gmail account

Do you have another email account (not Gmail) maybe another IMAP or POP account which you can test? This would clarify whether the problem is caused by Popper or your Gmail account. I already searched the internet for that error message "imaplib.error: command SEARCH illegal in state AUTH, only allowed in states SELECTED" but I could not find anything meaningful.

I don't have currently another IMAP account, but I will create one.

Another thing: I was thinking that the test was well:

Testing account 2: imap.googlemail.com
OK, <email address hidden> authenticated (Success)
Folder:
"Drafts"
"INBOX"
...
... But at the end it prints:
...
envoy&AOk-s"
supprim&AOk-s"
OK, 98NO, Unknown Mailbox: ARCHIVE (now in authenticated state) (Failure)Test failed. Could not connect to imap.googlemail.com.

Remove the word ARCHIVE from the folders field in the Popper configurator and it will most probably work
