2016-02-09 10:06:36 pd description Hi, as a new twitter user I discovered what everyone must have: a few connections (<2%) create 99% of the traffic. This has a simple solution: create a "diversity" stream which allows to normalize the number of tweets from multiple users so that tweets from verbose users are selected based on number or retweets, likes, or possibly just at random. Ideally, if this becomes my main stream, I could also tune how many tweets comes through, say max 1 in 5 minutes. If I need the full stream, I switch to it and don't miss anything. Hi, as a new twitter user I discovered what everyone must have long time before me already: a few connections (<2%) create 99% of the traffic. This has a simple solution: create a "diversity" stream which allows to normalize the number of tweets from multiple users so that I see about the same number of tweets from each user. For example, I could click on a user and set "decrease verbosity to 10%". Tweets from verbose users can be selected based on number or retweets, likes, or possibly just at random. Ideally, if this becomes my main stream, I could also tune how many tweets comes through, say max 1 tweet in 5 minutes. If I want the full stream, I simply switch to it and don't miss anything.
