Bug Description

at this time is you use the build in URL shortener feature all links are created as HTTP.

Of the 4 supported URL shortener 3 of them support HTTPS short URLs

I would request that is.gd, bit.ly and goo.gl are updated to generate HTTPS URLs. This would help improve the privacy of polly users and the people following the URLs. By using HTTPS for creating it can hide what the original URL is from potential snoopers. And by giving HTTPS URLs in tweets it can potentially help hide the exact page the person clicking the link goes to.

I did a quick, superficial search and couldn't find documentation on how to generate HTTPS links via is.gd, bit.ly and goo.gl. Can you point out where I can find it?

It looks like I misspoke.

The generators throw back http:// links but they can be manually changed to https:// in at least is.gd and goo.gl case

See https://is.gd/news.php 03/05/2014 entry

Is this rewrite of http to https be managed somehow?
