Bug Description

Retweets from a user are still shown after the setting to display them is turned off. Turning off retweets through twitter.com doesn't appear to affect the stream shown in Polly either.

To reproduce:

1. Add a user with retweets to a "Home+Mentions" or "Home" stream.
2. Click the username (in a retweet or a plain tweet).
3. In the user stream, click the "info" (i) button.
4. Click the "Disable user retweets" (recycle symbol) button so it turns grey (or verify that it's already grey).
5. Clear the stream, then wait for the user to retweet something and notice that it appears.

I've noticed that using the "Get more" button does filter out the retweets as expected (clear the stream, then click "Get more") but the automatic stream refresh doesn't.

I faintly remember noticing this before. If I remember correctly, it's simply a matter of waiting. Twitter takes some time to actually stop sending the retweets, the effect is not immediate.

I turned off retweets from some of these users weeks ago; is that what you mean by "not immediate"? In any case, your response suggests the filtering isn't done by Polly, so I guess it's a Twitter bug?

I remember this functionality not being very reliable on Twitter itself, yes.

However, "weeks ago" sound like too much. Will investigate when I have time.
