Bug Description

would it be possible to set up a feature that allowed a user to filter out tweets from their timeline from people in specific list(s)

so on the list have an option to "filter these people from your timeline" or some such

for me personally it would allow me to ignore a set of people tweeting live info about an event i'm going to watch the highlights of later, then read their tweets later by reading the list timeline.

The idea seems very specific, but the use case makes sense. I'll think about it.

Thanks for looking into this.

I can think of a few other use cases for this feature

a. Removing accounts when you're not interested in what they have to say (like the live event scenario I originally posted)

1. Tweets by trains / air / travel accounts which you might only be interested in on days you are travelling
2. Tweets by people who only have things of interest to you at specific times of year - for example christmas or during an annual conference / expo

Basically it allows you to keep following these accounts all the time but not have their tweets clog up your timeline when you are not interested.

b. Splitting off special interests from your general timeline

1. So if you're interested in a specifc sport/band/hobby you can split off all the tweets by accounts dedicated to that interest or who you only follow because they are also interested - they get their own timeline and they don't appear in the main one.
2. Splitting of work tweets

I'll stop going on now.

This would be even better if it could be done ala Twicca (an Android client) where you can filter people, words or client apps.

Further use cases:

 * Filter specific words to try to avoid mention about certain events (e.g. big sporting events that you're not going to watch until later)
 * Filter specific words to remove the drivel from someone's feed (e.g. an auto-tweeting feed that keeps posting links from a site that you can't stand the editorial quality on, but the other tweets can be useful)
 * Filter specific client apps that only generate junk tweets (e.g. ignoring tweets from people who insist on using paper.li, but also post interesting stuff)
