Bug Description
Search for new podcasts and type: Doctor Who
Add the "Doctor Who Audio Dramas"
View the list of shows and scroll to the bottom
RESULT:
Scrolling is very choppy/jerky
EXPECTED:
Scrolling should be smooth
Note: This may not be a podbird issue but an underlying one with Ubuntu Touch/Unity 8?
Note 2: The Ubuntu Podcast has 8 episodes in the list and scrolls fine. I don't know if lists between 8 and 100 also cause problems - I haven't tested this.
Thanks for a great app!

Hi TenLeftFinger, thanks for taking the time to report this bug. We have identified several areas where the UI chokes up and is choppy as a result. We are working on Podbird v0.6.1 where we are trying to address *some* of the performance problems and to some extent we have improved scrolling behaviour. The improved behaviour is the result of,
- much simpler listitem delegate
- new listitem that is present in the Ubuntu SDK in the devel-proposed images that are more performant than the older ones
Unfortunately the 2nd reason listed above cannot be released since the current BQ phones are based on the stable images which don't have these new listitems yet. Once that lands in the OTA-4 you should start seeing improved performance in Podbird.
Until then we are planning to release a Podbird devel release that will come with these performance fixes and will work *only* on the devel and devel-proposed images. (The performance fix from reason #1 will be released to the BQ phone as well)
May I ask which image channel and device you are using?
