Allow sign in to restricted podcasts

I subscribe to a podcast where I need to enter a password, most android podcast apps allow you to select if a URL it is a restricted feed and then you can enter a username and password before it tries to subscribe to the podcast.
Podbird tries to connect to the URL without a step allowing a username and password to be entered and therefore fails.

A cool workaround could be supporting the username:password@url syntax

As per posix4e 's comment I was able to connect to the restricted podcast feed by inserting username:password@ between "http://" and the rest of the url, as follows:
original url: http://examplePodcast.net
modified entry: http://username:<email address hidden>

If the application had a checkbox for "password restricted podcast", when checked it allowed the user to enter a username and a password, the application could automatically insert the details into the url search.
