My suspicion is that UDM is sending uninitialised values for the progress in cases where the HTTP server doesn't report the file size. That's just a guess at this stage though.

With the new redesign coming up in v0.6, we no longer show the progress percentage but instead a very sleek progress bar similar to the one used in the web browser. So in that sense, this bug is partially fixed in podbird's side. However the real issue of the percentage going up to millions of present still needs to be fixed upstream in UDM.

after downloading a file that goes up to a million percent, I see a white checkmark next to the file. However, I still can't play the file offline...

Clicking download again, downloads it again (and again a million percent) but it still won't play. Closing the app completely and reopening it finally plays the file, and now it also plays offline...

Strange behaviour... I'm not sure everything will be fixed by moving to a new design... Let me know if I can diagnose this for you...

@Merlijn, Is there any particular podcast that consistently reproduces this behaviour? v0.6 is much more than a redesign, we have included some model improvements as well to fix this issue. Unfortunately with v0.5, we didn't include sufficient logging statements to debug this issue. I could link you to an experimental 0.6 click package that you could test and check if it fixes the issue and if it still doesn't fix it, provide us the application logs for it.
