Bug Description

Whenever I install a theme, the directory of the theme is chosen as an alternative, instead of the plymouth script. I have to manually change the alternatives into valid ones to make a theme work.

This only happens with themes that don't come in a .deb file.

This doesn't work...
What I mean is that the alternatives for default plymouth are wrong.
For example:
When you install the "Paw-Ubuntu" theme, the added alternative is "/lib/plymouth/themes/Paw-Ubuntu".
This should be "/lib/plymouth/themes/Paw-Ubuntu/paw-ubuntu.plymouth". (the plymouth file)
The installer should choose the .plymouth file instead of the dircetory of the theme.
