Bug Description

I created a 800x600 png of 41KB.

I click on "Create theme", it ask me my sudo password many times but everything seems to work.

When I press on "Install", nothing happens and in the console, I get :
sh: 1: Syntax error: Unterminated quoted string

Same problem for me. I can chose a png file, then when I click create theme, I got the sudo password request in small windows, and that enter a loop... until it exit, the theme is never created and cannot be installed.

Hello, I had the same.
Solution :

edit /usr/share/plymouth-manager/src/funcmain.py on line 223 , you will see : os.system("xterm -e' 'sudo update-alternatives --install ..... there is a double ' after xterm -e , should be just one.

This gets ride of the error.

Cheers

Marty

So I followed your advice but it did not help.
Do I need to make the software from source again now I changed the python script?
If yes, how?

I just restarted the Plymouth Manager after changing the function.py file and it worked.
