Bug Description
If possible could you please implement SSL support for play with a simplified and nice setup for it?
My reasoning for requesting this is that the project I am working on is fairly small and new. Adding a proxy server to serve the SSL in front of our web server is an additional complexity that gives us very little. Furthermore, we need a separate server to house the proxy.

Hi, if it's of any help, I found it extremely useful to have a proxy in front of Play. The reason for this is that the proxy (something like nginx) can serve all static content allowing play to focus on the heavy duty stuff. Serving HTTPS is another great use-case.
