Bug Description

platform-api needs a non-NULL Desktop implementation for the following sensors.

 * Accelerometer
 * Proximity
 * Ambient Light

Well, the proposed change allows not Android to be selected at runtime on platforms where Android does not exist, but unless we plan to ship test fakes on production releases in Ubuntu 14.10 it does not address the need to provide a Desktop implementation of sensor support in the platform-api project.

In short, it does not address this bug.

OK, unlinking again. Then I don't understand this, on desktops (i. e. PCs and laptops) you don't usually have sensors, so there's nothing to take that data from. What are you asking for precisely?
