Menubar often ends with ellipsis despite plenty of space

Bug Description
Frequently not all menus are shown. At the end of the menubar there is an ellipsis that gives access to remaining menus. This happens even though there is plenty of space left to show the entire menu bar.
Expected behavior: All menus should show in the menubar when space permits.
