We have the same problem: plank doesn't show new apps icons without tick and re-tick "show unpinned" option

no longer affects: ubuntu

Sometimes it shows the icons after switching to another workspace and then back to your original workspace. I think the problem is that plank isn't updating itself.

Hey this bug affects me on Ubuntu Budgie. It worked well for a few days, and now when I launch an app (even nautilus, gnome calculator, other simple apps), they do not appear in Plank. Show Unpinned is unchecked. Restrict to Workspace is checked.

After several minutes of delay, the open apps will finally appear in Plank.

Switching Desktops updates plank, so I frequently switch between desktop 1 and 2.

I even reinstalled Ubuntu to try to fix this bug, as it is very annoying.

Affects me too, details here: https://answers.launchpad.net/plank/+question/703582

I'm on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon edition, with an Intel iGPU (also seen on my other system with an AMD GPU, FOSS drivers).

Will provide log upon request.
