Cannot click behind window when paired with picom

Bug Description
When running with picom plank creates a rectangle about 1/3 of the screen that cannot be clicked on. I have disabled features in picom that affect plank and docks, the issue remains. I also raised an issue on the picom github, but it was closed, stating this bug must be with plank instead.
Distro:Arch
Plank Version: 11.89
Installed with pacman
Window Manager: Awesome
GPU: RX 6600, AMDGPU
