Thanks. Some form of communication about the current state of things inside the Docklets tab would've been very helpful (say, a temporary link to a WIKI article). Unless of course it will be fully implemented in the next upcoming release.

@mychaelo: The current release is 0.10.1 which does not have any docklets support. So what you are using now is development snapshot and nothing more. See https://launchpad.net/plank/1.0

Huh, figures. I actually found this PPA by following a 2014 blog post after some tinkering with Docky (as such didn't expect an active development, especially so after seeing a 'install dockmanager' link in Docky that isn't maintained since like 2011). Sorry for bothering.

summary: - Doclets doesn't work
+ Docklets GUI isn't functional

I notice there is a way to add docklets in the current new version but no way to remove them. Is that an upcoming feature in a future release of the docklet preferences tab?

Right now I need to manually remove files in ~/.config/plank/dock1/launchers to get rid of a docklet once I have added it.
