Bug Description

Overview:
After updating on November 13th (not sure to which version), I can no longer launch applications out of the dock. This only occurs when the dock is in one of the autohide modes (autohide or intellihide). Clicking on an app will simply hide the dock and the application will not launch. When in verbose mode, the only log output is "[VERBOSE 10:07:46.658618] DockWindow.update_icon_regions ()". Disabling the autohide feature is the only workaround I have discovered so far.

I saw a new update came out over the weekend: 0.10.9.1444. The issue is still present in this version.

Steps to recreate:
* Configure Plank for autohide mode
** Config -> Behaviour -> Hide Dock -> ON
* Choose Autohide
* Close preference window
* Move cursor so that the dock appears
* Click on app. The dock hides. The app does not launch

This happens with Autohide and Intellihide features.

Just use "Hide Delay" feature (50+)

@KAYOVER: indeed that is a workaround.

Are you having the same issue with intellihide or autohide when the delay is not set? It would be nice to know if others are having the same problem.

Also wanted to note that I worked with ricotz on the IRC channel a few months back. We rolled back the version of plank yet I continued to see the issue. We believe it may be another library I installed however we have not dug into it further.

Would be interesting what your systems have in common. The most suspicious ones are gtk+ version and window-manager in use.
Do you both use "compiz" and gtk+ 3.10.8 on Ubuntu/14.04?

Reproducing it with another window-manager might suggest it being a problem of plank.

As a note, clicking on the dock should not make it hide in any case. This is only suppose to happen when the mouse cursor leaves the dock.

I'm using gtk 3.10.8 and compiz. I'll look into installing another wm (or two) later this week.
