Can't Keep Blender on Dock/Plank

Bug Description

I downloaded Blender from blender.org as a tarball (tar.gz) and ran Blender after the extraction. It loads and works fine, however I can't pin it to the dock/plank.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Plank requires a proper desktop-file located in either /usr/share/applications or ~/.local/share/applications referring to the installation/unpack location of an application. Otherwise there is no way to match a window to an application and therefore nothing to pin.
