Bug Description

This bug is recently introduced in freya-stable. I have been using freya since beta1 in which I didn't had any issue.

Its not just Google Chrome (icon with gears :( )
But also system apps like Terminal
And trillian, Firefox.

Apparently its all apps even if they are system or non-system apps.

```
quakedevil@quakedevil-LAP:/var/www/be$ plank -d
Same with me, opening Google Chrome and several other applications results in a low resolution duplicate icon displayed in the dock.
In most cases this is not a plank bug, but an error of e.g. chrome and its desktop-file.
That sounds logical, I'll look into it and see if I can post a solution for Chrome. I know another use said the same for Trillion so I'll look into that as well.
Thanks for the reply.
I have been lately suffering from this behaviour in one installation which seems to be related to the unpinned icons. When running:
plank --preferences
And deactivating the "Show Unpinned" option the low quality elements are not shown in the dock but new instances of the applications shown are not attached to the fixed icon.
I can confirm that in my case this is not an issue related to non-elementary OS applications as this is happening with pantheon-terminal, scratch, shotwell, geary, etc.
