Bug Description

planl -d output: (process:4685): GLib-CRITICAL (recursed) **: init_zone_from_iana_info: assertion 'size >= sizeof (struct tzhead) && memcmp (header, "TZif", 4) == 0' failed

Plank version 0.8.1-1
3.18.6-1-ARCH + Mate 1.8.1
X.Org X Server 1.16.4

Extra info: Docky doesn't work also, but gives different error (unhandled exception), but Cairo dock seems to work fine.

Plank is not messing with any timezone related code. This referred function is an internal of glib, so it seems something is wrong with your timezone/locale settings.
Please target your problem at the glib package of you Arch release in use.
