Hello,
plank version: 0.5.0-1
distro: Manjaro
Window-manager: xfce
I can provide debug traces if you wish, but from what I've seen there's no much relevant info.
I have a problem when a plank dock is started and the target Monitor is not plugged.
When this happen, the Monitor pref is reset to 0 or -1.
I believe the relevant code is in lib/DockPrefere
Steps to reproduce:
1. have 2 monitors and plank stopped
2. Set Monitor=1 in settings
3. start plank --> displayed on 2nd monitor
4. unplug a monitor
5. Add some NEW app to the dock (keep in dock)
--> Monitor setting is reset
This can also be reproduced without 2 monitors (removing steps 1 and 4).
I believe that Monitor settings should not be written to the file, except at first init, or if the dock is moved to a monitor, but I don't think this feature exists yet.
