Plank consumes extremely high CPU when you right click an icon. As the context menu is frozen (entire OS hangs as it's frozen for about 2 second), it leaves a ghost of the image. This appears to be a race condition as restarting Plank fixed it but it comes back every so often.

Plank consumes extremely high CPU when you open the context menu on a pinned folder. As the context menu is frozen (entire OS hangs as it's frozen for about 2 second), it leaves a ghost of the menu but the menu doesn't render.
Steps to reproduce -
Drag the folder "/usr/share/applications" from pantheon-files over to plank
Right click the newly pinned folder with plank in debug mode (plank -d)
Right click any icon in plank and it will make a ghost of the menu as it spams the debug console with
"[FATAL 17:05:13.932173] [Gtk] gtk_widget_get_request_mode: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed".

Plank consumes extremely high CPU when you primary or secondary click a pinned folder. As the folder contents list is frozen (entire OS hangs as it's frozen for about 2 second), it leaves a ghost of the menu but the menu doesn't render. After the menu renders, secondary clicking any other item in the dock results in the same error.
Error reported by plak -
[FATAL 20:22:18.867626] [Gtk] gtk_widget_is_drawable: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
[FATAL 20:22:18.880024] Plank will not function properly.
Steps to reproduce -
Drag the folder "/usr/share/applications" from pantheon-files over to plank
Right click the newly pinned folder with plank in debug mode (plank -d)
