500 internal server error for packages server has invalid contact info for server admin.

Got several 500s when trying to browse https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/linuxptp in particular, 500 page suggest emailing <email address hidden> but then got 550 error. 550 5.1.1 <email address hidden>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table. Multiple refreshes of package page eventually worked, but at least fix the email rhonda@ in the 500 error page. Thanks!

Yes - I only received spam through that email address and had it shut down. The instruction for that should be update.

Anyways, those 500s are pestering since a while, hopefully they should be fixed with the recent switch to a new system, otherwise I'll have to investigate again. It's something that is very fishy and not always reproducible, so making it really hard to debug.

I just had the same experience, the 500 error page still shows <email address hidden> today 30 months later.

The failed search succeeded on retrying a few minutes later, so I sent the email as requested in that page just as an fyi; it feels bad that it was a waste of my time.

The possibility for that error page is limited - and actually fixed data. It always uses an email address in that place and I doubt that I can add a custom 500 page. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Right now (and a few times yesterday) the search page was slow or gave 500.

https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/custom-error.html lists several methods to change the error text for 500. Maybe .htaccess for this is enabled? Is there a administrator that this should be forwarded to?

If only the email address can be changed, maybe using
   <email address hidden>
as email address would be a cludge in the meantime.
