Agreed that the templates should be re-jiggered for ports architectures. To provide some context, while the ubuntu-ports rsync module is open for anyone to mirror, Launchpad does not currently keep track of community ports mirrors like we do with https:/ /launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +archivemirrors , nor are there any non-Canonical CCTLD DNS mirrors (AFAIK nobody's volunteered to become one).
There is a DNS CCTLD wildcard for ??.ports.ubuntu.com which points to the same mirror as ports.ubuntu.com itself (UK). The only overridden entry is us.ports.ubuntu.com which is a real US mirror.
So I think for now the two download options should be:
http:// ports.ubuntu. com/ubuntu- ports/ (UK) us.ports. ubuntu. com/ubuntu- ports/ (US)
