Please check if this still happens with the 0.13.4.2 prerelease available today in the gstreamer PPA.

Without precise repro instructions, this is not helpful in knowing what happened. It needs to be consistently reproducible, and ideally with debug logs. You could create debug logs by running pitivi like this, for example:

PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 /usr/bin/pitivi > debug.log 2>&1

pitivi was running like PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 /usr/bin/pitivi > debug.log 2>&1.

For the record: according to the package info in bug #647161, it seems to affect pitivi 0.13.5 too.
