For me the Pithos entries are not showing up at all with 12.04. I have been using Pithos for a long time and never had a problem, even with 13.04. I recently got a new computer for work and they required going back to 12.04 LTS, and with this setup Pithos entries are not showing up in HUD, and other indicators (my personal tools) are showing up as "Untitled Indicator".

I was able to resolve the issue with my personal app indicators by adding a call to

  indicator.set_title("myAppTitleHere")

There may be a difference in API, but this may be a useful tip anyway...if not for this specific app then for someone else.
