Some MPRIS support would be nice for none GNOME usage

Bug Description

I have few problems with Pithos overall ( Xfce4 on Debian). However there is no media key support for XFCE. While this is cosmetic, I'd like to be able to control it with something like MPRIS remote.

Same settings and overall excellent rating for pithos..

MPRIS 1 support would be fantastic for script support to display on the desktop via conky etc etc

Discovered the lack of MPRIS support while running Linux Mint's MATE desktop.

If support for MPRIS is added to Pithos, the MATE devs will have to add it to the list of supported players by hand, since the mate-settings-daemon looks for supported players when they are launched (illustrated here: http://git.mate-desktop.org/mate-settings-daemon/tree/plugins/mpris/msd-mpris-manager.c#n55 ).
