Feature Request: Right-click tray icon as well as left-click

Bug Description

I'd like to be able to right-click the pithos icon for the menu as well. Left-clicking for something like that isn't really something I'm used to.

Do you mean you'd like to be able to left-click it? For me I have to right-click it. I'm using KDE.

Anyway, it seems like we're blocked by this bug:

No. But this seems to have corrected itself either by my distro change or by one of Pithos's version changes since. It was only showing the menu for left clicks then, but now it opens the Pithos window on left click and shows the menu on right-click.

So yeah, this can be closed. I'm not sure how to do that if I even can, though.

Which distro are you using now? And which GUI? Unity, Gnome, KDE...?

Ok. I don't know where this bug's source really is. Maybe it's this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libappindicator/+bug/621075 or maybe it's https://bugs.launchpad.net/screenlets/+bug/522152. Or maybe it's this https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/812933, in which case it's been fixed in a newer version of libappindicator (though I'm not sure if it's fixed in the Python bindings).

Anyway, using a plain Gtk.StatusIcon works fine!

Oh, and this branch separates the StatusIcon into a separate plugin so you can use it without removing libappindicator from the system. lp:~launchpad-alphapapa/pithos/888778
