Bug Description

Hi,

I want to show Amazon Instant Video, but the pluginloader.exe crashes every time. The Hardware Acceleration is disabled.
Error: Unhandled exception: assertion failed in 32-bit code (0xf7711430).

Another test site who crashes pluginloader too is this: http://www.iis.net/media/experiencesmoothstreaming
I have installed the same ISO of Ubuntu in a virtual machine and the videos works!
My system:
Ubuntu 14.04 x64 (KDE and LXDE)

pipelight-plugin --list-enabled-all
silverlight5.1

Hi,

there is something wrong with your alsa libraries or configuration. Wine crashes because the alsa library hits an assertion:

pcm_plug.c:388: snd_pcm_plug_change_channels: Zusicherung »snd_pcm_format_linear(slv->format)« nicht erfüllt.

This problem is not directly related to Pipelight or Wine and you can also find people having the same issue with vlc or mplayer. Here is for example a bug report on the alsa devel mailing list: http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2014-June/077748.html

You may try to use different alsa versions. Since you are the first one reporting this error, I suspect that this problem is related to the exact sound driver.

Michael
