Bug Description
When opening a valid TIFF file with a .tif extension, either by the File -> Open dialog within Pinta, or by the right-click -> Open With -> Pinta dialog box on Ubuntu 10.10, Pinta displays an error message: "Could not open file: /path/to/file.tif". In my view, this is a low priority issue, as it can be worked around merely by changing the file's extension to .tiff. However, if Pinta is going to associate itself to handle .tif files, it ought to be able to open them properly.

This happened using Pinta 0.5 on Ubuntu 10.10 AMD64 desktop. I haven't tested other versions or platforms.
