Bug Description

If you create a layer and paint something; then if you choose the other layer and try to paint, the canvas will not respond to the mouse movements.

I discovered that if you open another window (any other app) and then return to pinta the canvas will respond to the mouse.

From GitHub report:

A little more info: changing colors doesn't cause the app to stall it's when you do an action first and then the canvas receives focus again is when the app stalls. If I click on the window toolbar then back to the canvas the app responds properly.

My peeps are telling me that these issues also show up in MonoDevelop and Banshee, and that the problems are in upstream gtk+ for mac. Hopefully if and when their issues get resolved, ours will be fixed as well.

Can someone test this bug please if it reappears in Pinta for OSX? Pinta v1.3 was released today with huge amount of Pinta for OSX fixes. So it is likely this bug is fixed. Please test. Download it from: http://www.pinta-project.com/download.ashx

I think this is obsolete. It works fine for me testing on macOS with Pinta 2.0
