Wlroots popups max memory usage

Bug Description

When launching certain popups such as "image resize" "image adjust" sometimes the system maxes out in memory usage and the entire system becomes unresponsive. Usually I am able to switch TTYs but those interrupts are not even responsive forcing a system reboot.

Which Pinta version is being used?

I'm not at all familiar with wlroots, but most likely it's an issue in GTK or how GTK interacts with wlroots
