Bug Description

Version: Pinta 2.1.1 (also tried with 2.2 built from the source)
OS: macOS Monterey (12.6.5)

Steps to reproduce:

1) Create a new file (File, New..., Ok)
2) Select the Text tool (T)
3) Click "Font: <name> <size>" on the secondary toolbar
4) On the font list, select some font
5) Type some text on the image

Expected: "The quick brown fox" changes to the selected font, and text on image appears on that font
Actual: Both "The quick brown fox" and the typed text stay on a regular font.

It happens with the vast majority of my fonts. On the screenshots you will see it happening with Verdana, but not with American Typerwiter.

On the attached screenshots, I show the picker on each of those fonts, how they end up in the image, and the second font in a different up to verify it is not actually being used.

Both fonts are TrueType, enabled on my system and available in multiple languages; I can't see what would make the app render one but not the other.

Thank you, this is otherwise a fantastic app!

Confirmed on macOS, perhaps there's some issue with Pango's font handling on this platform
