Are you using the snap or flatpak package, or another package?
I haven't seen that error before but it looks like something to do with saving settings on exit

Are you saving file to some special location? Like network drive or something similar?

If yes, can you check the Ubuntu Software store, select Pinta installed from snap and enable access to remote storage.

Despite of that Pinta should not produce that "kind" of crash problem. It would be nice if you can write step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the problem.

No, i just wanted to save an image to my desktop folder.

Maybe this screenshot of the terminal to help to reproduce the problem.

From the first picture you have attached there is error: "Invalid URI. The URI is empty" it looks like Pinta gets an empty file path and so throws the exception error.

I tried to reproduce a problem using Pinta on Ubuntu 22.10:
- snap package
- flatpak package
- zip package downloaded from GitHub
but I can't reproduce the problem saving to /home/<user>/Desktop directory. All programs just saves normally.

What about if you save the image to any other location like /home/<user>/Pictures. Can you save to this directory or is there the same error?

if i save the image to any other location then it is everything okay. No errors...

And after that i was trying to crop the image and click the button close window and it was okay. it's so weird
