opening/editing pdn files

Bug Description
Can't seem to get it play nice with pdn files. Can open a 71kb file successfully, but then it'll crash eventually when trying to edit it, or if I try to save as a different file format.
Larger files (100MB), won't even open they just crash the program outright.

There isn't any built-in support for opening .pdn files - are you using an add-in?
Assuming you're using Pinta 1.6 or 1.7, if you're getting random crashes ensure you have an updated version of Mono installed as described in bug 1786822
