No visible lines when mouse is drug (regression)

Test 1: Pinta 1.8-dev390 on Windows.

1. Select any tool e.g. Rectangle, Line, Ellipse.
2. Draw rectangle on canvas. During drawing there is just dot at the beginning of drawing and then after I release mouse rectangle appears. In the process of mouse movement there is no visual indication on canvas of the current shape of rectangle.

Test 2: Pinta 1.7 on Windows: Works as expected. During mouse movement current rectangle movement is displayed.

Test 3: Pinta 1.8-development on Ubuntu 20.04. Also works as expected.

I restarted Windows and now Pinta 1.8 on Windows works fine. Strange...

Probably this bug report can be closed down with "Invalid" status.

Now it happened again. I can't reproduce exact steps, but the problem appears using Rectangle if both Pinta 1.7 and Pinta 1.8-dev390 on Windows are started at the same time.

I imagined that Pinta 1.8-dev390 is completely separated from Pinta 1.7 install, but it looks it is not.

Semi steps to reproduce (I don't yet have exact step by step scenario)
- open Pinta 1.8-dev390 and few of new images
- open Pinta 1.7 and few of new images
- then using Rectangle on 1.7 and switch to 1.8 and in 1.8 problem appears

I haven't been able to reproduce this yet ..
They should be independent assuming they're installed to different folders, but I suppose both would be reading / writing preferences to the same location? Version 1.8 also saves out a lot more settings for the tools.

Now I have a step by step reproduce scenario
1. Open Pinta 1.8-dev390.
2. Open two more new images.
3. Switch to Pinta 1.7
4. Open two more new images.
5. Select Rectangle and draw it on canvas. Resizing during mouse drag is visible. As expected.
6. Switch to PInta 1.8-dev390 draw the line and problem appears no visible line during drag and move.
7. Select Rectangle and the same problem. No visible rectangle during drag and move.

Pinta versions are installed in separate folders:
- Pinta 1.7 in my case is installed in C:\Programs\Pinta folder.
- Pinta 1.8-dev390 is installed in C:\Programs\Pinta_1_8 fodler.

I have recorded the screencast with reproduce scenario. See attachment.

Thanks! I haven't been able to repro it on macOS, but haven't tried Windows yet. I think this can be marked as confirmed since there's a video reproducing it.
